Children of the Day Week 6

You are doing so well!  Thank you for continuing to journey with me in Children of the Day.  If you miss this week's video, you will want to go to Life Way to purchase the video and download it to your computer to watch.  This week will be on the subject of prophesy.

As we review the week's homework, I am reminded of one of my favorite authors, Lisa Bevere, and her book Lioness Arising.

Here is a quote along with some scripture that she uses in the book to remind us, ladies, that we are created by God to serve our His purpose in our lifetimes.

“God is not looking for people who act like Christians.
He wants us to be Christians!
The word Christian means “anointed or Christlike one.”
Jesus did not go around “being good”;
he went around “doing good”
and releasing all who were oppressed.
What has he anointed you to do?”

“But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God.
The night is about over, dawn is about to break.  Be up and awake to what God is doing!  God is putting the
finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed.

We can’t afford to waste a minute, must not squander these precious daylight hours in frivolity and indulgence, in sleeping around and dissipation, in bickering and grabbing everything in sight.
Get out of bed and get dressed!  Don’t loiter and linger, waiting until the very last minute.
Dress yourselves in Christ, and be up and about!”

-Romans 13:11-14

These are my Roots.

From Day Four, I found this statement interesting and challenging.  Maybe you do too..

 “The early
New Testament believers didn’t think of church as somewhere they went:
they saw it as something they were.  Church wasn’t about attending.  It was about attaching."
